The conference Polynomials in Tromsø takes place May 10–14, 2027, at UiT The Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø. It brings together researchers working on stability, hyperbolicity, and the geometry of zeros of polynomials — foundational notions with far-reaching implications across mathematics and theoretical computer science, from matrix and operator theory to combinatorics and optimization.
The conference is organized by the Lie–Størmer Centre at UiT The Arctic University of Norway and grows out of the collaboration between UiT and UC Berkeley supported by the Peder Sather Center. It takes place in Tromsø, well above the Arctic Circle, in the bright days of the Arctic spring.
